Camping

Well it was Jaces' first time camping...and he even got to ride Spook the horse with his grandpa Jack. it was super cute. One of his uncles was a little uneasy about the whole situation, but i knew grandpa Jack would be just fine with Jace. i guess Spook got his name for a reason.

All in all it was pretty fun. Jace saw a lot more relatives and we had a nice time. Its just too bad that we got to only come up for one day. I know David loves riding horses and being out in the country. He's a little country boy at heart living in the city now.

Om my goodness the ride home sucked BIG time. He started out driving, then he got tired with in 45min. so i drove....then Jace started screaming....i ended up missing the exit to a highway we were supposed to take so by the time we realized it we were pretty much in KC. So it took us almost 2 hours longer then it should have to get home. ugh. but it wasn't all bad. It gave me and dave a few hours to have a ridiculously long discussion. we are so similar yet we are so different. we just have to work through the differences.

well we are moving in a month. YEA! i'm excited. Anyways...here's some pics of the weekend.

Play Dates & Weekends

We went with my sister and Rebekah to the botanical gardens. They have a kids structure event and although Jace fell asleep 1/2 the time we were there, it still was pretty neat.


















This weekend me and my sister made some cupcakes we're entering into a contest, i'm a little biased but i think we might win.

OUCH!

It was shot day today :(
and shot day has defiantly turned into a very tired and fussy day. He was so brave though Last tim e he got shots he screamed and i could not console him. But this time he wanted to prove how big of a kid he was. He was looking at a book and when she stuck him he got this look on his face like, 'why the hell did you do that?' and then with the next shot he let out a little cry but it didn't last long at all. No real side effects, besides the being fussy. I can't beleive that they reccomnd giving a baby that small 4 shots at once! Since he's not in daycare my doc and i have decided to opt out of some shots with no risk to Jace, some shots just aren't nessiasry for all babies. But my boy is getting BIG he's 13 lbs 3 oz and 25 long! Although he's little compared to most babies...but he's being compared to formula fed babies. Why is it that they don't have serperate charts for breastfed babies? They are getting a complete different source of nutrution. Anyways....He's got some pretty tough bandaides on!

The end of 3 months!

Jace is almost 4 month old! Crazy how fast it goes. He seems so big already! He is defiantly ready to start taking tastes of solid foods. We got bored one night and thought we would try out a little baby cereal. It is so funny, David is learning about babies as we go on...i asked him, "should we try giving him some cereal?" David responded saying, "NO! He'll choke!". I think he though i was going to pour him a bowl of Cheerios. Jace got the hang of eating pretty quick. By the 3rd bite he was grabbing the spoon and pulling it towards his mouth. Of course we made a mess!

Of course when dad is home they spend their time playing video games, reading the paper and napping.

we had a long but wonderful weekend meeting a lot of family on Davids side. Davids real dad, after years of not seeing him, actually came up to his his grandson. We had a blast!
